Trucks / Trailers -- door security seals
For low security, our metal band seals, or plastic seals are acceptable. For improved security, we recommend a barrier seal such as a cable seal or a bolt seal. For the best security we recommend a keeper bar seal with additional security labels on any door hinges.
Barrier Seals for Cargo Containers and Trailer Doors
Barrier seals provide the maximum protection for shipping cargo via trucks and containers. Barrier seals are installed on the keeper bars of the shipping container doors, across the seam where the two doors meet, securing both doors. They are easy to install and require no special tools for installation, however they are very difficult to remove.
The barrier seals resist physical attacks from saws, cutting sheers, bolt cutters, levering by crowbar, impact by hammer, etc. These seals can only be removed using a cutting wheel, which normally takes about 20 minutes. Barrier seals are a one-time use product. For added security, all of our barrier seals have matching serial numbers on key components.

Bolt Seals
Shipments that cross international borders usually require a seal which is rated as High Security. Bolt security seals are very durable and intended for securing latches and hasps in high security applications, such as:
- Shipping containers
- Trucks and trailers
- Railcars
- Other heavy-duty sealing applications
All of our bolt seals qualify as "High Security" seals, comply with ISO 17712, and are C-TPAT compliant. Our bolt seals have unique serial numbers which can be recorded on shipping documents and in tracking systems, and checked at various points en route for added security.
Our bolt seals are offered in multiple colors, which allows for color coding. Customized bolt seals provide added security. The stock bolt seals (red, blue, yellow) can be customized by imprinting the bolt only. Or we have yellow bolt seals which can be customized on the bolt and barrel.

Security Labels for Trailer Doors and Cargo Containers
Cargo door security labels are used as an added layer of security for sealing the doors on truck trailers, sea containers, and crates.
A typical application is to apply the adhesive seal across the center gap of the two hinged doors. In this application, the seal serves as the primary security seal, or as a secondary layer of protection to the shackle seal (typically a bolt seal, cable seal, barrier seal, etc). An alternative application is to apply the adhesive seal over the gap on a hinged door, one seal on each hinged door. For high security applications, determined thieves will remove the set of hinged doors at the hinges without removing the security seals on the shackle or on the keeper bars. Applying a security seal from the door to frames protects the doors from removal.
To provide a strong indication of tampering, our cargo door security labels leave a significant residue containing a repeating pattern of the words OPENED VOID on the trailer door surface when removed. If you require a low-cleanup product, please look at our non-residue labels.

Cable Seals for Cargo Containers, Trailers, and Hasps
Cable seals consist of a cable and a locking mechanism permanently connected to one end of the cable, allowing the other end of the cable to be fed through a hasp or wrapped around a bar, and then back into the locking mechanism to create a closed and secure loop. After the locking mechanism is engaged, the cable seal can only be removed with a cable or bolt cutter.
Adjustable cable seals allow the cable to be positioned in the locking mechanism at varying lengths in order to remove unneccssary slack. Fixed-length cable seals are not adjustable, and may need to be routed around keeper bars multiple times in order to eliminate slack.
Shipments that cross international borders usually require a seal which is rated as "high security." To qualify as a high security seal and comply with ISO 17712, the cable seal diameter must be a minimum of 3.5mm; this is the minimum cable diameter required to pass the shear test of ISO 17712. LidunHologram's certificate of conformance for the ISO 17712:2010 standard for cable seals is available here.
All of our cable seals are manufactured in facilities that are C-TPAT compliant. All of our cable seals feature serial numbers for an additional level of security.

Tamper Evident Security Tape for Doors and Panels
Tamper evident security tape provides a security seal for panels, door, and other kinds of access points.
Basic security tapes are similar to standard polyester carton packing or box sealing tapes, with additional messages or a "candy stripe" pattern printed on the surface. Because it is difficult to realign two pieces of tape after they have been separated by cutting, they provide a basic indication of tampering.
To protect higher value products, we recommend tapes with additional security features, such as serial numbers and hidden messages that are revealed in the residue left behind when tape is lifted or tampered. Our premium security tapes will show tamper evidence by self destructing, leaving words or symbols on the package and in the security tape itself.
For access panels and hinged doors, you can add a layer of security by placing tape over a closed door and its adjoining surface. Applying tape over hinged sides of panels and doors provides even more security.
