To protect certified election results from alterations, LidunHologram recommends applying a transparent hologram label over critical information. This will allow the underlying text to be read through the hologram label while providing a layer of security and an obvious indication of authenticity.
Transparent Holograms for Authentication
The unqiue 3-D optical properties of hologram labels cannot be reproduced by photography, scanning, or photocopying, so they are impossible to duplicate. Transparent hologram labels can be placed over critical information on paper documents or other suitable surfaces to authenticate and protect them from alteration and reproduction, while still allowing the underlying surface to be seen.
Additional layers of security can be added by choosing label material that has tamper-evident features, such as selective-release adhesive which will leave behind a pattern of dots and destroy the hologram image. Yet another layer of security can be added by included printed text on the face of the label, such as words, serial numbers, or expiration dates.
